Final Four Tourney

Yo,

so after being crushed by the incredible lack of interest in the march madness tourney, i have decided to cast aside my sadness and try again. introducing the first posting begging folks to join me friday afternoon around 4:00! the court is really amazing and has that "all-american" feel to it. playing on that court makes me realize that i am living the american dream.

one issue that needs to be addressed. none of us are good at basketball, so yes, we will all suck. that is certainly 0kay, because individual suckiness will be overshadowed by the massive group effort in suckiness!! the point is merely to have a good time airballing each attempt. thus, no one is able to use the excuse "maybe...its just that i am not very good." its basketball with friends, and no one is there to watch.

so i am glad all of us will be there friday to play with me. i will bring capri suns for all, and snickers bars for the winning team.

post entrants and possible team names soon so tourney brackets can be worked out. do it. do it.

peace,
rt.

If tip-off can be moved to 5:15, I will surely be there. I can't leave work at 3:45 for a makeshift basketball tourney.

Yeah. I agree with Oldie McWorksalot. If tip-off's at 5:15, count me and Team Whoopass in.

Robert, I'm glad you said something about "none of us are good at basketball" because I've rarely heard such an accurate description of my own ability. I'm just afraid that if I play, someone might determine that I in fact need the handicap tag on my car. I could be the waterboy (Capri Sun boy), but if I tried to actually play, I wouldn't be able to walk for a month. (Not because I'm old, Tom, but because I injured my feet running last year.)

I've got 5 years of kiddie church league under my belt...who are you to declare, "none of us are good at basketball"? If I can work your little basketball tourney into my really important and busy schedule...then I will show you some old-school-church-league-rules ball.

at 5:15 friday, thunder and destruction will reign down upon those who dare oppose them on the courts of basketball. fair warning.
